Pending, Missing or Rejected Survey Rewards: What to Check and When to Contact Support

By the Reward Land teamUpdated 28 October 20265 min read

You finished the survey, saw the "thank you" screen, and the reward isn't in your balance. Or it is, but marked "pending." Or it was there yesterday and now it says "rejected." Each of these means something different, and each has its own fix.

Pending: being checked

Many rewards are held for a while after you finish. The survey company checks the answers for quality and fraud before it pays the site, and the site waits for that before paying you. This can take a few days or several weeks.

What to do: check the site's help pages for its usual pending period, and wait at least that long. Pending is normal and usually resolves on its own.

Missing: never recorded

Sometimes a completed survey or offer never shows up at all. Usually the tracking between the survey company and the site failed: a page didn't load fully, you closed the window before the final screen, or a browser setting blocked the tracking.

Rejected: failed a check

A rejected reward usually means the survey company decided the answers didn't meet its quality rules: answered too fast, failed an attention check, or didn't match your profile. Our guide to attention and speed checks explains what they look for.

What to do: if you believe you answered carefully, contact support once, politely, with the details. Sites can't always reverse a client's decision, but repeated unexplained rejections are worth raising.

What to send support

Support teams deal with many requests. A short, complete message gets the fastest answer:

Subject: Missing reward, 27 October, survey ID 123456

Hi, I completed a survey on 27 October at about 19:40 (survey ID 123456, reward 150 points). I reached the completion screen, and I've attached a screenshot, but the reward hasn't appeared in my balance after the 7-day period in your help pages. Could you check it? Thanks.

When to walk away

One missing reward is normal. A pattern is not. Consider moving your time elsewhere if:
